Combining sub-groups without standard deviations


I have a study which compared women and men separately (control versus experiment for each gender) regarding the same manipulation.   I want to combine the 2 result for one effect size (cohen's d). Can anyone direct me how to do that. the study only reported t test statistic and means (no S.D)
