Meta-Analysis Resources

Tools for Those Who Summarize the Evidence Base

Resources and networking for those who conduct or interpret meta-analyses related to any phenomenon that is gauged in multiple studies.

Hello everyone, I'm a first year graduate student. I'm conducting a meta-analysis of correlational studies. In my study, I have two outcomes (reading and math) and each outcome has outcome subtypes as accuracy, fluency, comprehension and broad reading for reading; accuracy, calculation fluency, problem-solving and broad math for math. Although the CMA manual (Borenstein et al., 2009) provided information on how to combine two effect sizes from two different outcomes in a study, it is bit ambiguous to find the information on computing the average effect size per outcome. I would like to know how to calculate the weighted average of correlations for each outcome. It would be of great help if someone could assist me.
I highly appreciate your time and help. Thanks in advance for your consideration.
